Who we are...

At Lumiz, every candle begins with a story, one of earth, fire, and craftsmanship passed down through centuries. Rooted in the heart of Egypt, we work exclusively with alabaster, a sacred stone once reserved for royalty and the highest ranks, chosen to preserve precious oils and perfumes in ancient times.

Today, our alabaster vessels continue this legacy, protecting and enhancing fragrance just as they did thousands of years ago. When lit, the flame reveals the stone’s natural veins, casting a soft, warm glow that feels almost ethereal. Each candle is hand-poured with pure natural soy wax and enriched with the finest fragrance oils, creating a sensory experience that feels both indulgent and enduring.

Beyond the flame, Lumiz is an expression of culture, patience, and artistry. Every piece carries the soul of Egypt, shaped by hand, rooted in history, and thoughtfully designed for today.

About the Founder...

I have always wanted to do things differently. Passionate about history, decorative objects and craftsmanship, I wanted to create something of true value — not a simple object, but a fragment of history, able to travel the world and elevate any space it inhabits.

That is where Lumiz was lit.

I didn't want to create just another candle. I wanted to create a house — a house of exceptional candles, refined yet understated, high-end without ever being loud. Elegant, simply.

Into every jar, I pour my values. Just as the wax takes the shape of the stone that holds it, every Lumiz piece takes the shape of what I believe in : lasting beauty, artisanal heritage, and an uncompromising attention to detail. And just as the flame reveals the veins of the alabaster, I hope every candle reveals to whoever holds it something deeply true — and rooted in history.

Men and women in small workshops, often family-run, shaping, carving, and polishing with quiet precision. Their work is slow and intentional. It requires skill, patience, and pride.
